Position(s) available: Business Development & Communication Manager; Management Assistant

Juggle many balls at once, communicate globally with a huge variety of cultures, capacity-levels, and languages, develop the future of a company.

As Business Development & Communication Manager your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement growth opportunities, and to manage public and customer relations.
As Management Assistant your primary responsibility are the day-to-day details of running and shaping the business.
This role can be split into two part-time roles, depending on the candidate(s).

Responsibilities are wide-ranging and include the development of social media and communications strategies; content (co-)creation, including everything from Tweets and Instagram posts to long-form thought pieces; customer and client relationship management; project coordination, including scheduling and attending meetings, coordinating the submission of deliverables, and general handling of client communications; coordinating, editing, and eventually writing proposals using Google Docs and the Adobe suite; developing strategies for improving processes covering everything from knowledge management to accounting to human resources; light accounting work, including invoice processing; researching and ordering office supplies and other tools of business, handling contacts,
organising conferences and travel, and tackling other tasks related to the ongoing functioning of a office/co-working space.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication,
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinking
  • Fluency in English; German language proficiency a very strong plus but not a requisite
  • Comfort with the tools of a modern office, including Google products (docs, sheets, etc.), the Adobe suite, especially InDesign, project management tools such as Asana, Slack, etc.
  • Good time management, including the ability to balance task priority with time allocation

As an optional plus:

  • Passion for making the world a better place through urban planning
  • Willingness to travel globally and interest in presenting projects and office
  • Experience with some degree of office management

Position available: Urban Planning Project Lead

Design the urban future both in Europe and in the Global South.

As Urban Planning Project Lead, your primary responsibility will be to manage complex urban planning projects, from project conception through final delivery, in global contexts.

Key components of this role include:

  • Leading the team with excellent urban design and knowledge of current urban design and planning knowledge
  • Foreseeing, understanding and planning in advance for the potential hurdles that come with executing complex projects around the globe.
  • Examples could include communication challenges, limited or poor-quality data, or other challenges.
  • Maintaining open, positive, and fruitful dialogues with the TSPA team, project partners, and clients
  • Structuring project development processes including both spatial and urban design as well as policy input
  • Conducting analysis of data pertaining to all possible inputs for an urban planning project, including spatial, sociological, economic, and other types of data
  • Ensuring the timely and successful execution of project deliverables
  • Assisting in the pursuit and acquisition of new business by developing proposals and presentations, communicating with potential partners and clients

The ideal candidate for this role will have a master in architecture, urban design, urban planning, or a related field, combined with 3-5 years professional experience, with 1-2 years’ experience in project management. Full proficiency in both written and spoken English is required; proficiency in German is a major plus, additional language knowledge in French, Russian, and Arabic are welcome.

Internship 3D Technology

TSPA is looking for a 3-6 months intern to push the boundaries of innovative 3d technology in the field of urban design. The successful candidate will use Unity3d and Oculus Rift to create immersive virtualisation models of urban designs.

Requirements:

  • interest in 3d technology
  • interest in urban design
  • skilled in auto cad
  • experience with scripting languages
  • experience with Unity3d and game development a plus
  • excellent 3ds max skills
  • fluency in written and spoken English
