Every month, we dedicate time to internal workshops to learn from one another about the different projects we are working on. These sessions help us understand the key urban challenges faced by different regions and the strategies we are using with our partners to strive for real impact.
Here Aurelija is presenting a project focused on climate neutrality, decarbonization, and justice in 10 neighbourhoods across Europe. She highlights how centering cities through "co-design" is crucial—not only for creating innovative solutions to climate issues but also for ensuring their practical application within the realities of these neighbourhoods, so that eventually, these solutions can be scaled across the entire city.
For example, Granollers aims to develop a framework for co-creating net-zero neighbourhoods - focusing on preventing gentrification, enhancing blue-green infrastructure, and involving stakeholders using digital tools to support the co-design process.
