This July the Berlin's Strategic Smart City Framework was handed over to the Senate for its operationalisation and implementation phases, the framework is part of the "Smart Cities Model Projects" supported by the Federal Ministry of Interior as part of Berlin City's effort towards a Smart City Strategy.

We are honoured to observe this transformative process through our founder and director Thomas Stellmach who is a member of the panel formed by various actors of Berlin's urban society in the sectors of science, business, administration/politics, and organised civil society who form the Smart City Strategy Advisory Board.

The Smart City Framework document aims to answer so needed questions, such as how is the future vision of Berlin seen by its citizens and administration? How can we better integrate science in planning and make better-informed decisions?
