On the 7th June, Alessandra, had the pleasure of attending the RISEBA University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD), in Riga.
She was invited to participate in the final critique of the project, HydroCity: Wirral Waters. Together with Friedrich Kuhlmann, Chair of Landscape Architecture at Estonian University of Life Sciences and Rudolfs Dainis Smits, Dean of FAD at RISEBA University, Alessandra reviewed the BA third year student projects.
The students produced beautiful visions for the future of the former Vittoria dock on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside, UK. Each project gave rich inspiration and original points for dicussion around the role that architecture and landscape can play in re-imagining new and sustainable futures between past and present.
Thank you to the organisers, moderators and professors of the Architectural Design IV Course and Landscape Architecture Course: Efe Duyan, Ilze Paklone, Jonas Büchel, Helena Gutmane, Ilze Ruksane, and Mark Geldof.
The project was in collaboration with the Manchester School of Architecture and the proposals and research will be published together with them. The whole TSPA team are looking forward to seeing the results.
