Traditionally, the last weekend in June is dedicated to quality architecture culture. The 23rd Tag der Architektur will take place on June 23 and 24, under the motto “Architecture Remains!” This public event features engaging chamber members from all states, offering tours of contemporary private and public buildings, outdoor spaces, interiors, and open offices located in Berlin. This year’s offerings are larger than ever, with around 70 projects available for tours. In Berlin, many renovation projects illustrate how sensitive building within existing structures looks in line with the theme. Visitors can directly engage with those who created these works, as the tours will be led by the architects themselves. Open offices will host lectures, exhibitions, festivities, and discussions. The complete program and the app for the Tag der Architektur will be released in May 2018.
In 2018, the architecture festival MakeCity will also take place simultaneously, addressing many aspects of building and urban development alongside the Tag der Architektur. Leading up to the event, the “Architecture Exhibitions Weekend” gallery walk will occur on June 16 and 17.
